My time in Cambodia was short. I stayed in Siem Reap for four days and three nights with a friend from Hong Kong. We wanted an amazing getaway filled with history and new experiences.

We stayed in an Airbnb (which honestly was amazing with a pool and resort type atmosphere) for only 16 dollars a night.

The main attraction of Siem Reap is Angkor Wat (Depicted on the right).

Angkor Wat

On my way to my Airbnb via Tuk Tuk

We took a "Tuk Tuk" ride from the airport to our Airbnb, best decision. Interestingly the number one form of transportation in Siem Reap is by tuk tuk.

Angkor Wat consists of many other temples such as Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Preah Khan, and many more! All of which your ticket is valid to enter.  You need to purchase a ticket known as the "Angkor Pass" at the Angkor Ticket office which is located 3km from the city center. This is the only place you can purchase a ticket! The office (Address: Corner of Apsara Road and Road 60)  is open from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Why so early you might ask? Well the sunrise at Angkor Wat is simply amazing

However, you can also rent a moped for 25 dollars a day, split that in two and you have one hell of an adventure. There are many moped rental hops around Siem Reap. Many of which also provide other services such as bus rides to Phnom Penh, bicycle rentals, or tour guide services

The nightlife in Siem Reap is lit. Many tourists, locals, and everybody in between gather at Pub Street for a night of fun. My favorite being Angkor What? depicted on the right

Below is a short clip inside a bar, however, I forgot the name! Please let me know the name whenever you find yourself in Siem Reap!

Cannabis lovers, this one is for you! All throughout Pub Street will you find the medicinal plant of mary jane. Non-Cannabis lovers, simply say "no thank you" and enjoy your night. Cannabis is illegal in Cambodia

Siem Reap is very beautiful. The people, history, and daily activities make this destination a must! Cambodia along with its own currency also uses the American dollar. Cambodia is a re-budget friendly country. I hope you get to explore Angkor Wat and protect your belongings from macaque monkeys.
